Another successful beginners session

We have another group of new members learning to sail, and today with the low wind speed it’s going to be interesting. Lower wind speed means more time to react when it is going wrong, but also harder to keep moving. We have 3 lasers, the wanderer and a feva out today.
The beginner sessions will be continuing for the next few weeks, with racing later in the afternoon.
Come down and grab a tea or coffee while watching them get to grip with a sailing boat.
Also a leisure row with the skiff this afternoon, the wind is more for that type of activity, but we will share the water and enjoy ourselves whatever the weather.
The wind direction changed during the afternoon, with some wind ging in as well. During the skiff row and the sailing race the rain came on. Skiff tried to hide out in the reeds, dashed over to the shore as soon as the boats had passed. I think we al got wet, but didn’t stop anyone.
Maybe we see you next time?
