Club boats

At Forfar Sailing & Watersports Club, we understand that not everyone owns a boat or may wish to try different types before making a purchase. That's why we maintain a small fleet of boats available for hire at very reasonable rates. Whether you're a beginner eager to learn or an experienced sailor looking to try something new, our diverse fleet caters to various preferences and skill levels. Our Fleet Includes:

• Topper: These durable and easy-to-handle boats are perfect for younger sailors, typically from around the age of 9. The Topper's lightweight design makes it an excellent choice for those new to sailing, offering a fun and safe introduction to the sport.

• Laser: A popular choice worldwide and used in Olympic competitions, the Laser is a fast and responsive single-handed dinghy. Our club has three Lasers equipped with a selection of rig sizes to accommodate different crew weights, providing an exciting challenge for more experienced sailors.

• RS Feva: This modern double-handed boat comes equipped with a spinnaker, offering an exhilarating sailing experience. The RS Feva is particularly suitable for junior sailors or parent-child teams, combining performance with stability.

• Wanderer: This double-handed boat is a stable, easy-access boat able to give beginning sailors a safe start. This does not mean that the boat can't perform. The choice to take out new members and family sailing together.
