There was no local racing at Forfar during the week as members took part in Tay Week, hosted by the Royal Tay Yacht Club at Broughty Ferry.
Colin Tannock, member at both Forfar and RTYC was the main organiser and he sailed both at the weekend and throughout the week alongside Peter Tait and Graeme Knox in Lasers. Coin's son, Alastair, sailed a fast RS600 single hander in the fast handicap section. Jim Green joined more than a dozen fellow Solo sailors for the weekend when the Solo traveller series visdited the Tay. This was Jim's first taste of salt water sailing.
Peter and Colin returned a second and third for the weekend event and Peter a very creditable third overall for the week.
Forfar members also helped out with Race box duties on Monday and Graham Topping helped by Jim Green manned a rescue boat for the week.
The club members who took part and enjoyed the sailing would like to thank Colin and the RTYC team for a well run, friendly and fun week.
